Art Korock passed away Sunday, December 7, 2003 at a convalescent hospital in Lodi after a lengthy illness. He was 87 years old. He was born in Durham, Kansas on June 17, 1916. He moved to California at an early age and attended Lodi grade and high schools. He served as a superintendent of maintenance at Sharpe's Army Depot and also an interpreter for the German soldiers during WWII. He later moved to Stockton and was the owner of Western Lumber and Pallet Manufacturing Co. for 40 years. He also was a pilot of a small aircraft and started a company called National Air Patrol and transported prisoners for San Joaquin County.
After retiring from the lumber business he owned and operated Custom R.V. Sales and Repair. Art is survived by his wife Bette Korock of 66 years of marriage; son, Dr. Stanley Korock of Chico, CA; daughter, Coleen Schroeder of Lodi; brother, Vernon Korock of Modesto. 4 grandchildren, Fred Gottele, Janna Crothers, Kristi Trefethen and Ryan Korock. 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends. He attended First Baptist Church in Stockton. Art had a great sense of humor and he was much loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
A private funeral service was held on December 11, 2003 at The Evergreen Chapel following burial at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA.

Bette Korock, 88, of Lodi passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2005 in her residence. Born on December 21, 1916 in Piedmont, MO, she was a homemaker and a member of the Stockton First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur I. Korock. Loving mother of Coleen Schroeder of Lodi and Stan Korock of Chico. Grandmother of 4 and great grandmother of 4.
Funeral services were held on Thursday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park with Pastor James Dunn officiating. Committal followed with Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
