Esther Koroch Buchmiller, 87 of Lodi, died April 13 of Natural causes in a local hospital after a short illness. She was born Esther Knecht of Sept. 28, 1915, in American Falls, Idaho.
She was a retired nurse's aide. She worked at Lodi Memorial Hospital from 1953 until her retirement in 1973. She was a member of Century Assembly Church.
She is survived by her sons, Ben Korock of Acampo and Ron Korock of Stockton; daughters Donna Machtmes and Arletta Stonebraker of Fairfield; stepsons Stanley and Steve Buchmiller of Lodi; brother Rueben Knecht of Acampo; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 22 step great-grandchildren and four step-great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Koroch, in 1972; second husband, Otto Buchmiller in 1994; brother Oscar Knecht; and stepson Boyle Buchmiller.
A funeral will be held Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Duncan of Century Assembly Church officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
